Required system permissions
Speakly requires certain permissions to function properly.
macOS Permissions
Microphone (Required)
Needed to record audio for transcription.
Accessibility (Optional)
Enables text selection detection and auto-paste functionality.
Screen Recording (Optional)
Allows detection of active window for app-specific prompts.
Windows Permissions
Microphone (Required)
Grant microphone access in Windows Settings > Privacy > Microphone.
Administrator (Optional)
Run as administrator if hotkeys don't work in elevated applications.
Grant Permissions
On macOS, manage in System Preferences > Security & Privacy. On Windows, use Settings > Privacy.
