App-Specific Prompts

Different prompts for different apps

Automatically use different prompts based on which application is active.

How It Works

When you create a custom prompt, you can associate it with specific applications. When that app is in focus, Speakly automatically uses that prompt.

Example Setup

  • Slack: Casual, conversational formatting
  • Gmail: Professional email structure
  • VS Code: Technical documentation style
  • Notion: Structured notes with headers
There is no fallback
There is no catch-all rule. If no rule names the app you are dictating into, nothing post-processes the dictation and the text is typed exactly as transcribed. A rule with no app attached (Only when I pick it) is not a global default — it never fires on its own; pick it from the dot on the recording pill while you dictate.
