Search Transcriptions

Speakly keeps your recent transcriptions on your own machine, and the Search button on the Home screen opens a window that looks through them. It has two modes: a plain text filter that runs entirely on your device, and Ask AI, which sends the text of those transcriptions to the AI provider you configured and answers a question about them in your language.

Opening it

1. Open the Speakly main window on the Home screen
2. Find the Recent Activity section
3. Click Search to the right of that heading — the button only appears once you have at least one transcription
4. The window opens on the Text tab, titled Search Transcriptions, with the number of transcriptions it can see

Text search

• Filtering happens as you type — no Enter needed
• Matching ignores case and matches anywhere inside the text
• Every occurrence is highlighted in the result
• A counter above the list shows how many results matched
• Hover a result and click Copy to copy that transcription

Ask AI

1. Click the Ask AI tab
2. Type your question — the field suggests something like “What did I say about the subscription model?”
3. Press Enter or click Ask
4. The answer appears below; Copy Result in the footer copies it

The answer lists the transcriptions that match your question, each with its date and a relevant excerpt, and it is written in the language you set as your transcription language.

What is searched

Only the transcriptions loaded on the Home screen: the 100 most recent ones. Older entries stay in your local history but are out of this window's reach.
