Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Speakly, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application.

Description of Service

Speakly is a desktop voice transcription application that allows you to convert speech to text. The application supports local processing using on-device AI models, as well as cloud-based processing using your own API keys (BYOK).

  • Lifetime License ($20 one-time payment)

User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. Each license is valid for one person and may not be shared.

Payments and Refunds

The Lifetime License is a one-time payment that grants permanent access to the application. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

We offer a 7-day refund policy. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, contact us within 7 days for a full refund, no questions asked.

License Grant

Upon purchase, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Speakly application. This license is for your personal or professional use and may not be resold or redistributed.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the application for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to circumvent the trial period or licensing system
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use the application to harm, harass, or infringe on others' rights

Intellectual Property

Speakly, including its name, logo, and software, is the intellectual property of the developer. You retain full ownership of any content you create using Speakly, including your transcriptions, notes, and prompts.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Speakly is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of transcriptions or the availability of the service. The quality of transcriptions depends on factors including audio quality, language, and the AI model used.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the application if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your license to use the application will be revoked.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify you of significant changes.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
